Framework for countering racism

This framework for countering racism aims to assist Australian schools and education systems in developing or further implementing strategies to counter racism. To be successful in education to counter racism:

  • action must occur at the system, school and individual level
  • implementation must occur across the full range of school activities
  • a cycle of planning, implementation and evaluation is required.

To assist in this process, the specific responsibilities of systems, schools and individuals and a planning and evaluation guide with detailed areas for action are provided.
