Woke has partnered with Multicultural NSW to create the ‘Me, My Culture and NSW’ competition. This is an opportunity for young people to celebrate diversity, share their culture and join us in combating cultural stereotypes and racism.
All entries must focus on the topics of celebrating diversity and different cultures and/or battling cultural stereotypes and racism. Competitors can do this in a variety of ways, such as by sharing personal stories about their culture, their own experiences with racism or their family’s or friends’ experience. Competitors can also talk about the harmful effects of racism and the importance of celebrating diversity as a whole.
Film: Short films between 1 to 2:30 minutes.
Writing: Poetry, creative writing and opinion pieces – max 600 words.
