This site

Cultural Exchange NSW provides resources to assist NSW teachers in integrating intercultural understanding across the curriculum. Included are resources which aim to develop knowledge about culture, cultural diversity and identity within the Australian context.

The site was first established in 2004  by the then NSW Department of Education and Training in partnership with the NSW Catholic Education Commission and the Association of Independent Schools NSW to build on and extend the range of cultural exchange programs that were already in operation in NSW schools. In response to the release of the new Australian curriculum and NSW syllabus documents, the site now includes a broad range of resources to support teaching and learning in the cross-curriculum content areas of intercultural understanding and difference and diversity.

The Cultural Exchange NSW website is now managed by the Equity team of the Learning and Leadership Directorate , NSW Department of Education.
