Introduction
This resource allows students to explore problematic knowledge and engage deeply in a text that links to Australian history as well as contemporary socio-political events. The subject matter allows students to connect rich texts to relevant contemporary world issues. Students also question and challenge cultural assumptions and examine how song lyrics provide a voice to minority groups to challenge these assumptions.
