Resource: Refugees welcome here

‘Refugees welcome here’ is an interactive resource to promote Refugee Week within your school community.

Refugees welcome here‘ is an online learning resource that guides students to learn about the journeys taken by refugees to reach Australia and the ways that a community can welcome them once they have arrived.

Students work in small groups to create artefacts to be added to a class ‘Refugee community support kit’. This kit is designed to be presented to the broader community for use in supporting and integrating local refugees.

The learning resource supports outcomes in the  NSW Department of Education  Stage 4 English, Visual Arts and Geography syllabuses or it can be adapted to meet outcomes in Stage 5 or 6.
